Chintpurni Temple of Kangra is one of the ancient temples of Himachal Pradesh. The temple is the symbol of utmost faith and trust in the Goddess Chintpurni. Located in Una district, the Chintapurni is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas. Thousands of Indian devotees visit the pilgrimage every year. Apart from such immense faith, you will be mesmerized with the architecture of the temple.  

Chintpurni Temple is a major pilgrimage centre and one of the Shakti Peeths in India. The Chintpurni shakti peeth is located in Una district Himachal Pradesh state. It is surrounded right in nature’s lap with the western Himalaya in the north and east of it. The Chintpurni Temple also houses the temple of Chinnamastika Devi or Chinnamasta Devi.

Devotees have been visiting this Shaktipeeth for centuries to pray at the lotus feet of Mata Shri Chhinnamastika Devi. They bring with them their worldly concerns and seek blessings from the Devi. It is believed that if one asks something from the Devi with an honest heart, the wish is granted. Chintpurni Temple History

Pandit Mai Das, a Saraswat Brahman, is generally believed to have established this shrine of Mata Chintpurni Devi in Chhaproh village about 12 generations ago. Over time this place became known as Chintpurni after the eponymous deity. His descendants still live in Chintpurni and perform prayers and puja at the Chintpurni temple. These descendants are the official priests at the Temple.

Sawan Ashtami Mela. The Chintpurni Temple gets pumped up during Sawan Ashtami Mela, that is, during July & August. It is the 10 days festival where devotees can be seen in the utmost happiness state and being grateful to Mata.

Navratri Festival. One of the major Hindu festivals is Navratri festival and Chintpurni Temple can be seen in full swing which keeps you going with the spiritual flow. Apart from Hindu Devotees, there are several international tourists who can be seen to offer faithful prayers to Mata Chintpurni.

Important Aartis. Once you are in the temple, you will get to attend several mystical aartis such as Mata Shri Chintpurni Pratahkal Aarti, Mata Shri Chintpurni Day Aarti, Mata Shri Chintpurni Sandhya Aarti.

Havan facility. According to Hindu religion, offering Havan to Maa Chintpurni vanishes away all the problems. If you are planning to go to Chintpurni Temple, you can also offer Havana to Mata. The “Havan Daan” (price for Havan) may vary according to the temple authority.

The Kangra has a beautiful weather condition that mesmerizes everyone to come and bask in its view. While most people prefer to visit the place during the mid-winter or extreme winter to also enjoy the snowfall.

Air- The Kangra Airport is the nearest airport that is served with famous airline services such as SpiceJet, Kingfisher Red Airlines, etc.

Rail- There are several nearest railway stations towards Chintpurni Temple, Una such as AMB Andaura, Hoshiarpur, Una Himachal, and Dasuya.

Bus- If you are travelling from Punjab, Delhi, or Uttar Pradesh, it is best to take bus service from the respective states.
