Spread over an area of about 1200 acres, the terminal building of the airport can handle (approx) 100 passengers at a time. The airport has good flight connectivity with nearby Indian cities. However, it is recommended to take connecting flights from Delhi and Chandigarh. After deboarding the flight, you will need to cover the remaining distance via cab or some other means of public transportation like a bus.

The nearest railway station is the Pathankot railway station (PTK) which is situated 100-130 km away from the Zoo. This station is located at an altitude of about 331 meters.
