Elephant Festival Jaipur, celebrated every year at Jaipur Polo Ground during Holi, is on this list of festivals of Rajasthan because it is an exhibition of Rajasthani traditions and culture. The elephants are dressed with colorful saddlecloth and jewelry and prepared for shows, races, and competitions. To differentiate female elephants from males, they are made to wear anklets.

This Rajputi avatar of Holi is celebrated a few days before Holi with seeking blessings of Lord Krishna, dance, music, and splashing of colors. To end the festival on a good note, locals visit and offer prayers at Radha Krishna Temple.
