A shikara ride is the most easing, relaxing sides of a holiday in Kashmir. Shikaras are long water boats which gathered in the Srinagar lakes. The race is conducted in the Dal Lake of Srinagar which is the capital city of the state of Jammu & Kashmir. Srinagar is well-connected by both air and rail to the rest of the country. The nearest airport and railway station is Srinagar itself.
