1. Foreign Tourists Can Now Apply For RAP and PAP for Sikkim this October 

According to authorities, foreign tourists visiting Sikkim can now apply easily for RAP-Restricted Area Permit and PAP-Protected Area Permit from October onwards. Sikkim’s Chief minister Prem Singh Tamang announced the same on this Independence Day. This decision has been made to make it easier for tourists to apply for RAP and PAP via the concerned website. 

2. DIAL Now Announced The DigiYatra App For Swift Airport Check-ins

Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) has unveiled the beta version of the DigiYatra application, which allows for easy and swift check-ins at IGIA's Terminal 3. This app will be a game changer since passengers can now use contactless and paperless entrances at various checkpoints. DigiYatra will recognize your face characteristics in order to verify your identification, which will subsequently be connected to your boarding permit. This app currently has an Android version and will soon have an iOS version as well.

3. Aviation Museum Is Ready To Set Open In Punjab

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh has approved the proposal for the establishment of an aviation museum at the Punjab Civil Aerodrome. This museum will showcase Punjab's history as it relates to the civil aviation sector. For in-depth information, the aviation museum will display significant artifacts, photographs, maps, and personal archives, all linked with the history of the aviation sector. 

4. Akasa Air is a Well-Capitalised Airline Claims CEO Vinay, Dubey

Following the last public appearance of Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, Founder and lead investor of Akasa Air, the media has been asking a lot of questions about the airline, to which CEO Vinay Dube responded that the airline is well-capitalized and has a strong financial potential. Dube also highlighted how the airline would accelerate its development by launching a new aircraft every two weeks. Furthermore, he stated that everyone who saw Rakesh Jhunjhunwala on the inaugural flight on August 7 must have witnessed how delighted and proud he was of each Akasa employee and partner.

5. Kazakhstan Has Finally Announced a Visa-Free Regime For Indian Citizens

According to Decree 464 of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan of July 7, 2022, the Kazakh authorities provide visa-free entrance regimes for nationals of the Republic of India for business, private, or tourism purposes, allowing them a visa-free stay of up to 14 days. According to the statement, the maximum period of visa-free stays would be 42 days every 180 days. As a response, Air Astana has designated India as its regional hub. A direct flight from New Delhi connects Kazakhstan.
