1. The government of Himachal Pradesh has now made negative RT-PCR reports or COVID-19 vaccine certificates mandatory for those entering the state, days after relaxing travel restrictions. As per the new guidelines, travelers wanting to enter the state will be required to show a negative COVID report, which should be done before 72 hours. The said guidelines have been put out after seeing a rise in the number of COVID cases in the state. This new rule will not apply to locals.

The Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh took this mandatory action after witnessing a surge in the number of COVID-19 cases. As such, negative RT-PCR reports have been reintroduced for travelers looking to enter the state with immediate effect.

2. As per the reports, the Indian Parliamentary Standing Committee on transport, tourism, and culture has suggested that scheduled international flights should be resumed. The committee is advocating for scheduled international flights to restart to places where the spread of COVID is not very high.

The Chairman of this Parliamentary Committee, TG Venkatesh, said in a statement, "We have told officials and Ministry (Tourism) in interactive meetings that we should allow international flights immediately to places wherever Covid cases are low and where there are islands and safe zones. Tourism dept should be restored."

3. The Delhi Transport Corporation is planning to resume Maitri Bus Sewa between Delhi and Nepal soon if the COVID situation comes under control. The bus service was suspended due to the pandemic that hit the world in March 2020, which was started between the two countries a few years back.

As of now, no date has been fixed yet for the resumption of the services, an official in the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) told a news agency. The official added that DTC is planning to send its recommendations to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). The services will restart soon if the proposal gets approved.

4. Italy has just got its newest UNESCO World Heritage Site in Bologna. The historic Porticoes of Bologna have been recognized by UNESCO. Italy now has a record number of heritage sites. The Porticoes of Bologna cover a total area of 62 km.

While recognizing the Porticoes of Bologna, UNESCO regarded the architectural marvel as an "outstanding example of a building type, architectural or technological ensemble or landscape that illustrates one or more important phases in human history.”

5. The Ram Temple complex is expected to be completed by the year 2025; however, it will be open for devotees by December 2023. As per the reports, the temple complex will feature a museum, digital archives, and a research center.
