Travel News for October: Guidelines, Relaxations and Other Updates

India’s Ministry of Civil Aviation has made ‘air bubble arrangements’ with 18 countries until now. And this week, it has added Ukraine and Bangladesh under its list of Vande Bharat Mission. The major objective of taking this decision is to ensure the complete safety of Indians travelling to and fro.

Reportedly, IATA is working in association with the International Civil Aviation Organization and WHO to establish a proper system for replacing compulsory quarantine. This decision has been taken unilaterally to revive the airline industry globally.

With the onset of Unlock 5.0, the Mumbai government has implemented many relaxations like re-opening of libraries, weekly markets and much more. The resumption of metro services from October 19 has come as a news of great relief for the Mumbaikars.

Uttar Pradesh government has also decided to reopen several stagnant verticals of the local economy. This includes the reopening cinema halls, multiplexes outside the containment zones. Keeping this in mind, the State Chief Secretary, RK Tiwari has also ordered arrangements for thermal screenings and contactless sanitisers.
