1. Even though Covid-19 has been creating havoc globally, the passport ranking of India has risen to 83 in 2022 from 90 in 2021. In other words, it means that people with the Indian passport can now travel to sixty countries worldwide without getting a prior visa. In 2021, prior visa approval was applicable for 58 countries only. Based on data provided by IATA, the rankings are compiled by the Henley Passport Index. Japan and Singapore top the list with 192 destinations without a prior visa. The weakest passport, as per the list, is that of Afghanistan. 

2. India updated the 'at at risk' nation list. Eight new nations have made their way to list in the latest list - Congo, Nigeria, Kenya, Zambia, Ghana, Tunisia, Ethiopia, and Kazakhstan. The list now has a total of twenty countries; travelers from these nations have to undergo PCR testing on arrival, quarantine at home for seven days, get tests done on the eighth day, and report a negative report at the Air Sewa portal. 

3. Norwegian Cruise Line has announced the launch of its new ship that is getting ready for its debut in June 2023. The ship can accommodate 3,200+ passengers. It will be equipped with one open-air food hall, a go-kart track outdoors, and several infinity pools. The Norwegian Viva was introduced to the world on 12th January, and the details of its summer itineraries were shared. It will cross ports like Athens, Lisbon, Civitavecchia, Trieste, Istanbul, Mykonos, Santorini, Venice, Sicily, Dubrovnik, Rome, Naples, Florence, Palma, Barcelona, Ibiza, Lisbon, cross the Atlantic, and will reach San Juan in Puerto Rico on 15th December 2023.

4. Hikers who love the eastern coast of Canada now have one more reason to visit Prince Edward Island. Canada's Food Island has introduced The Island Walk, which is a 435-trail on foot. This Trail follows the island's shoreline, looping around the entire perimeter. There Trail takes you through sandy beaches, scenic landscapes, small streets, the coast, mesmerizing small towns, and more. The Trail can be covered in approximately 32 days.

5. Every foreign tourist in Thailand will need to pay $9 from April 2022. This is the tourist entry fee that will be used to help the travel industry recover from the impact of the pandemic. With Thailand's economy totally dependent on tourism, there have been major pitfalls due to Covid. Compared to 40 million tourists in 2019, there were only two hundred thousand in 2020. The additional amount of $9 will get added to the airline ticket.
