1. On Tuesday, British Airways announced that they are planning to increase the number of flight services between India and the UK. Travel demand between the two nations has seen a sudden spike after the United Kingdom moved India to the ‘Amber’ list from the ‘Red’ list. Bein on an amber list means that fully vaccinated Indians can enter the UK without undergoing the 10-day quarantine.

After the demand on the India-UK route has gone up, British Airways said that flight services have been increased from 10 to 20 per week from August 16. 20 direct return flights from Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad are being operated by the airline. The Indian government also allowed UK carriers to operate additional flights and increased the weekly cap from 15 to 34 per week, after moving to the amber list.

2. The famous Naini Lake is located in Model Town in north Delhi, which is quite a popular destination for boating. The tourism department of Delhi has now decided to restart boating here in the lake. Tourism activities at the lake, which is under the jurisdiction of the North Delhi Municipal Corporation, are actually run by the Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC) on lease.

As per an official, "The boating in the lake was resumed on August 14 this year. It was decided to start the boating services after restrictions because of Covid-19 were lifted recently.”

3. All the beaches, public grounds, and gardens will remain open in Mumbai on all days from 6 AM to 10 PM, recently announced by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). This move is in line with fresh relaxations in COVID-19 restrictions in Mumbai, the Municipal Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal said.

On Sunday, the BMC issued the fresh guidelines under the Break the Chain program. Meanwhile, BMC also urged the citizens to follow all COVID-related protocols and maintain social distance.

4. Mauritius is working hard to reopen its borders for tourists from October. Good news for fully vaccinated travelers, who have been wanting to visit Mauritius for a long time.

As per the reports, those visiting with a negative RT-PCR report that has been obtained 72 hours before their departure, will be visiting the island nation and explore the island freely without any restrictions. The rule will be applicable from October 1, 2021.

5. As per the latest COVID-19 update, the United States has moved India to Level 2 and eased travel restrictions for India. When it comes to the COVID situation, India is now considered safe by the US government. A significant decision was made on Monday.
