The Nalwari Cattle Fair was started by W Goldstein who was the superintendent of Shimla during the year 1889. And since the inception of this fair, it has been a phenomenal success that attracts a lot of people on an annual basis.
Organized at Luhnu ground, all the preparations relating to the fair are taken care of by the local Mela Management Committee.

Yuvak Mandals, Mahila Mandals along with similar other youth clubs participate in the Nalwari Cattle Fair with great enthusiasm. These nights are truly a colourful combination of enjoyment and merriment.
2. Popular Events During Nalwari Cattle Fair. Tourists from various different parts of the country come to witness this incredible depiction of Indian culture. The fair sees many events like long bouts of wrestling events, exhibitions held by government departments along with sports competition as well. 3. The Arrangements in Nalwari Cattle Fair. The onset of this fair sees proper arrangement that is done by the Deputy Commissioner of Bilaspur so that guests enjoy the fair to its fullest. Strict security arrangements are also made to ensure the tight safety of visitors and tourists.
4. Cattle Trade. The place witnesses a huge and massive trade in Bullock and other cattle. Cattle Traders and Livestock breeders from all across the country come here to participate in this fair.

By Air. The nearest airport is the Shimla Airport (SLV). However, it doesn’t have a very good connectivity with other cities.
