Robber’s Cave is basically a river cave formed in the Himalayas about 8 kilometres from Dehradun. It is situated nearby Sahastradhara and is frequented by tourists a great deal.

To visit these caves, the tourists need to trek about a kilometre through Anarwala village. This is truly a perfect location for those who are seeking adventure and thrill as well. Locally, the caves are referred to as Guchhu Pani and some also believe that once these caves were the abode of Lord Shiva the Adiyogi himself. 

The caves have been divided into two major sections. Walking a little deep inside, one can also witness the majestic waterfalls.

April to October is the prefered time to visit the Robber's Cave. And while on your visit to this place, don't forget to wear footwear with a strong grip, carry a few snacks as well as a water bottle along. The water can reach up to knee length, thus, be careful while exploring the cave.

1. Mind Rolling Monastery. This is one of the six monasteries of the Nyingma School in Tibet and was established in 1676. It is a unique combination of travel and spirituality. One of the major highlighting points of the monastery is its mind-blowing architecture.

2. Lachhiwala. This is a picnic destination sited in Dehradun. Its lush greenery and natural fascinating beauty are what mainly attracts tourists. It is also a great opportunity to click some great pics. 

3. Har Ki Dun. Har Ki Dun is the kind of travel destination you must visit if finding an escape from city life. The huge mountains and lush green trees are its major highlights.

How to Reach Robber's Cave

By Air. The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport that is well-connected with other Indian cities. After deboarding the flight, you will need to cover the remaining distance by a cab.

By Rail. The Dehradun Railway Station is the nearest railway station. After deboarding at the railway station, you will need to cover the remaining distance by a cab to reach here.

By Road. Depending upon your budget and convenience, you can easily plan a road trip to Dehradun. For doing so, you can hire a cab or a bus. Otherwise, you can also consider travelling by your own vehicle. It will give you the freedom to travel at your own pace.
