Phawngpui Hills is the highest peak of the Lushai Hills. There is a semi-circular series of cliffs on the western side called Thlazuang Khàm, which have a sharp and deep fall, and serve as the natural home of mountain goats. On the peak, there is a level ground of about 2 km square in area. These cliffs are also believed to be haunted by spirits.

In the Phulpui village, there are mainly two graves which are generally visited by anyone who travel to this place. The story behind this is that a man named Zawlpala who was also the chief of the Phulpui village married the most beautiful girl named Talvungi who in turn was married to a man named Punthia who was also the chief of Rothai. And it was after many many years when Zawlpala died a grief stricken Tavlungi travelled to this place, dug her own grave beside the grave of her previous husband and requested an old woman to kill her and then bury her with her husband.
