1) Halloween Horror Nights Exhibition To Be Resumed By Universal Studios, Singapore

After a hiatus of two years, the popular show is all set to continue as per a recent announcement by Universal Studios, Singapore. The Halloween Horror Nights Exhibition has been a regular feature of the Studio since 2011 but had to be stopped for the last two years due to Covid-19.

2) Srinagar's Dal Lake To Get Five New Tourist Villages

Akhoon Mohalla, Kachri Mohalla, a vegetable market, Sofi Mohalla, and Tinda Mohalla, surrounding the Dal Lake in Srinagar, Kashmir, are to be developed as tourist villages with homestay facilities. The Tourist Villages Development by the Mission Youth Initiative will handle the entire project. Adding these five villages will offer earning opportunities to the local youth, strengthening the area's economy.

3) Pilgrims On The Amarnath Yatra Can Now Fly From Srinagar To Panchtarni

As per a Central government announcement, helicopter services will start on June 30th and continue for 43 days of the Amarnath Yatra. It will allow pilgrims to fly from Srinagar to Panchtarni, the closest point to the holy site. From here, they can either walk or travel in a palanquin to the shrine. Currently, devotees can take a helicopter from Pahalgam or Baltal to Panchtarni. Additionally, the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board is also finding out if helicopters can land directly at the Amarnath Cave's foothill.

4) Najafgarh Drain In Delhi Is Set To Become An Eco-Tourism Spot

There are talks about converting the highly polluted Najafgarh Drain into an eco-tourism destination. The drain that is an extension of the Najafgarh Lake and a part of the Sahibi River covers a distance of 57km before draining into the Yamuna River. As per the project plans, the drain will be de-silted and meshed at different spots to prevent waste flow into the drain. The surrounding areas will be landscaped with trees, and talks are on to include certain activities like boating and other watersports activities, etc., in the drain water.
