According to the latest information, direct flight service will commence from Kochi to Ho Chi Minh City. As per the latest update, a Vietnamese airline named Vietjet has announced the first-ever direct flight route between Kerala and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, beginning on August 12, 2033. The announcement to start a direct flight service between Ho Chi Minh City and Kochi was made a few days after the meeting between Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Vietnam Ambassador on July 5.
With the new route launch from Cochin International Airport, Vietjet stated the airline would run 32 flights between Vietnam and India each week. As per the airline officials, the Kochi to Ho Chi Minh City route will have four flights per week which are scheduled for Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. The aircraft from Kochi will take off at 23:50 and arrive in Ho Chi Minh City at 06:40. The return flights will leave Ho Chi Minh City at 19:20 and land in Kochi at 22:50.
