In a welcome move, the Southern Railways Twitter account has shared that the Chennai and Egmore stations in Tamil Nadu are visually impaired-friendly now. Braille navigation maps measuring 3x3 ft have been fixed near the entrance of each station. People with eyesight-related disabilities can now move on their own on the station with the help of these navigation maps. They can locate the toilets, ticket counters, drinking water zones, cloakrooms and waiting rooms, foot-over-bridge, etc.

3) Mozambique Welcomes The Return Of The White Rhinos After Four Decades

The East African country is getting the white rhinos from South Africa. It is 40 years after the species was declared extinct in Mozambique. The authorities hope to boost tourism with this move. The Zinave National Park is now home to these white rhinos that also houses almost 2300 other reintroduced animals.
Thanks to the efforts of the Peace Parks Foundation, this has been possible.

4) Jharkhand’s First Fossil Park Opens For The Public

The Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Mr Hemant Soren, has inaugurated the fossil park in Mandro Block on the Rajmahal hills. The 95-acre fossil park will help conserve fossils and also boost eco-tourism. It is essential to mention that Mando Block is home to some of the rarest fossils on Earth and, therefore, is a treasured site for the state. You can witness fossils of animals and plants from the Jurassic era.
