There is no one who is obscure about the festival of Dussehra. It is a significant festival for India and is celebrated in every part of the country with a lot of fervor and charm. Though Karnataka has a different style of celebrating this festival. Where this fiesta of celebrating good over evil goes for a day or two in other parts, Karnataka does it for straight 10 days.
The festival is marked by processions with decorated elephants known as the ‘Jamboo Savari’. The parade is the biggest highlight because it includes many musicians, dance groups folklores and more. There are exhibitions right in front of Mysore Palace which is filled with stalls of clothing, food, handicrafts etc. The festival is a must-visit for you when you are there in the state.
