India International Trade Fair or IITF is one of the biggest trade fairs in India that is organised by the India Trade Promotion Organization. It is an annual fair that starts from 14th November at Pragati Maidan in Delhi. It runs for 14 days. This is a huge fair which is attended by manufacturers, traders, exporters and importers. It provides great opportunities for interaction among B2B, B2C, and C2C. Every year, the fair witnesses a huge number of national and international tourists. The fair exhibits several products including, coir products, jute, textiles, household appliances, beverages, electronic items, automobiles and many more.
In 2019, the India International Trade Fair will be held between 14-27 November. It is the 39th edition of IITF Delhi. From 14-18 November, the day is scheduled for business days and from 19-27 November, it is accessible for the general public. This annual event has been a great platform for around 40,000 domestic business visitors and 63 Foreign Trade Delegations including Germany, France, Australia, Canada, Malaysia, Mexico, Indonesia, Brunei, Bangladesh, Costa Rica, Hong Kong, Afghanistan, Hong Kong, China, Angola, Nigeria.
This will be another year of great opportunity to explore for businesses and unlimited fun for the general public while buying popular and trending products from their favourite stalls. Right from automobiles to garments to household products, this trade fair is all set to keep you updated with new trends in the market. This year’s theme is “Ease of Doing Business”, preparation of which is in full-swing preparation.
Indian International Trade Fair was first organized on 14 November 1980 at Pragati Maidan, Delhi. It is organized by the India Trade promotion aka ITPO. The annual event is one of the most-awaited trade fairs in India where people can be seen enjoying as well as exploring things. It is an important platform for manufacturers, traders, exporters, and importers. In the IITF, the government of each state represents the heritage and significance of its region. For example, if you go to one particular counter like Manipur, you will see everything that is from there - Manipuri Cuisine, Manipuri Clothes, Manipuri Footwears, etc. Also, you will see different stalls of foreign delegates with their specialties. Every year, the event is given a theme, last year in 2018, the theme was “Rural Enterprise In India”.
Different Stalls. One can find these stalls of different states of India representing their heritage. Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana are some of the prominent pavilions where the crowd can mostly be seen.

Air. The nearest airport is Indira Gandhi International Airport which is well-connected to major cities in India. There are regular flight services provided by renowned airline companies such as Air India, IndiGo, etc. International Airline Services are Air China, Air Astana, Air Canada, Emirates, etc. The airport is just 18 kilometers away from Pragati Maidan which will take around one hour to reach the destination. Once you land at the airport, you can easily get local modes of transport. Booking a taxi or cab can be the most convenient option.
Rail. New Delhi Railway Station (4.7 km) and Anand Vihar Railway Station (13.4 km) are the nearest railway stations to reach Pragati Maidan. Once you deboard the station, you can take a bus, taxi, cab or auto to reach the destination. The railway stations are well-established with all the facilities such as restaurants, hotels, etc.
Road. This huge and most awaited fair is organized in the capital city of the country. Delhi is easily accessible from all parts of the country. It has various railway stations connecting to all major cities of India.
