Taj Mahotsav is the highly anticipating festival celebrated in the Taj Mahal, India’s most beautiful and sensational historical monument which is no less than the pride of India. This festival is known to double the grace and incredibility of the Taj Mahal which is one of the wonders of the world. It is a 10-day festival which is known to showcase the Indian culture, arts & crafts, music & dance forms and much more to glorify the nation’s vibrant and inspiring traditions and cultures. The city of Agra gets all prepped up before the festival as people not only from the city but from around the world wait for it from a long time.
It is organized by the Taj Mahotsav Committee and is presented by the Commissioner of Agra Division. The festival began in the year 1992 and since then it has reached to wider audience and to a bigger scale. This year it is the 28th Taj Mahotsav which will take place at Shilpgram, the eastern gate of Taj Mahal. It is celebrated in February every year and this year it is starting on 18th February 2019 – 27th February 2019.
There are amazing performances organized in the festival by well-known and popular artists from all around the country.

There is a different theme of the festival every year and this year it is “Parampara”.
It is a gala of music, dance, art, culture, cuisine and so much more which rightly represents the rich heritage of India.
The festival is celebrated in the city of Agra in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Agra is architecturally rich city and the former capital of India. It is quite accessible to reach Agra via air, road or rail. Agra has an airport which is well-connected to all major cities in India. The railway stations of Agra are also connected to almost every major city of the country. People can easily reach by road as well as the city lies on the Delhi-Mumbai and Delhi-Chennai highway.
