The Kartik Cultural Festival is an annual festival which is celebrated in Gurgaon in the state of Haryana, India. The celebration runs for three days in October and November at Nahar Mahal in Ballabgarh Town. It is organised with the collaboration and contribution of several authorities such as Ministry of Tourism and Department of Culture, Government of India, Department of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt. of India, Department of Cultural Affairs, Haryana, Development Commissioner Handlooms and Handicrafts, North Central Cultural Center, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan and Ballabgarh Development and Beautification Society. Every year with the initiatives taken by many organizations to promote almost extinct forms of arts in India. It gives life to the martial arts and any other folk arts of the nation which are now forgotten by people. This festival is profound to showcase the talents in those forms which are revived in this festival. Also, the location of this festival is a treat to explore. The Mahal in Ballabgarh where this festival is celebrated has excellent architecture for the public to see. Also, several singers and dancers from classical or contemporary, get the chance to explore their talent on such a huge platform.
The Kartik Cultural Festival is the result of continuous effort of Haryana Government. The motive was to keep alive the art and heritage of India. The festival is organised at Nahar Mahal which was the resident of Raja Nahar Singh(ascended throne in 1829) who was ruling the Ballabgarh Town under the reign of last Mughal King Bahadur Shah Zafar. It was built around 1739 AD by the forefathers of King Nahar.
The deterioration of Nahar Mahal was on its peak and then, Government of Haryana decided to restore the beauty of the Nahar Mahal. The government hired Francis Nacziarg and Aman Team to further beautification of the palace. The palace again got its beauty back with aligned cupola and miners.
Folk Dance & Music. The show not only showcase the folk dance & music of Haryana but also welcome other folk dance forms across India. One can see the charm of India and understand the rich heritage of it through traditional dance performances.

Classical Dance & Music. Different classical dance performances such as Bharatnatyam, Kathak, Kuchipudi, Orisi are performed by renowned dancers. When it comes to classical music performance, you will love to listen Thumri, Dadra, Bhaul etc.

Air. The nearest airport is Chandigarh Airport which is just 288.8 kilometres away from Ballabgarh. Another nearest airport is Indira Gandhi International Airport which is just 43 kilometres away from Ballabgarh that will take only one hour to reach the destination. The airport is well-linked to major cities of India and overseas. Once you reach the airport, you can easily get the local means of transport.
Rail. The nearest railway station is Ballabgarh Railway Station which is well-connected to neighbouring cities and states of India. Once you deboard at the station, you can easily get a bus, cab, or taxi to reach Nahar Mahal.
Road. Gurugram is a prominent city of the state of Haryana and also lies in the Delhi-NCR region where this festival is celebrated every year.
