Mandi district which was formerly known as Mandavya Nagar is one of the prominent districts of Himachal Pradesh. Mandi town is the district headquarters of the district of Mandi. It is known for various ancient temples and historical architecture which is yet to be explored by many Indians. The nearest railway stations are in Joginder Nagar and Shimla. By road, it is easily accessible through Chandigarh, Shimla, Pathankot, Delhi etc. The nearest airport is in Bhuntar at Kullu district which is around 50 km from the Mandi district.
