Chamba is a small town in the Chamba district in the beautiful state of Himachal Pradesh. It is situated at the banks of Ravi river which meets with the Sal river. The place is exceptionally gorgeous and attracts a lot of tourists every year. The town is filled with numerous temples and palaces and is a host of two major fairs which are truly the crowd-pullers of the state. Both Suhi Mata Mela and Minjar Fair are quite popular and are major attractions of the town. The town is also famous for its arts and crafts. The Pahari paintings over here are worth watching.
Chamba can be easily reached through all transport mediums. It is connected to many states and is accessible via trains. Buses and flights as well. You will find nearby airports in Pathankot, Kangra, Amritsar, Chandigarh etc. Buses run to and fro to Chamba from various cities by the Himachal tourist corporation. The nearest railway station is in Pathankot and buses and taxis are always available to Chamba from there and other neighboring cities.
