The state of Himachal Pradesh is full of bliss with amazing destinations to explore and spend vacations amidst the beauty of nature. There are in total 12 administrative districts in the state and one of which is Kinnaur. It is one of the less-known districts and is thus considered to be an off-beat destination of the state which people prefer these days over the more crowded and commercialized places. After Lahaul and Spiti, Kinnaur is the least populous district which makes it a sacred beauty in the world-famous state of Himachal Pradesh.
The district is also known for the Kinnaur Kailash which is an abode of Lord Shiva and can be seen from the district. It is located in the northeast corner and shares a border with Tibet. There are many tourist attractions which make it worthy for your next trip. The weather is mostly temperate with long winters in the place. It is a great winter destination with a large number of flora and fauna species.
The district is not very far from the capital of the state, Shimla. It is 235 kms and is well-connected by roads. State buses run from the Shimla to Kinnaur and other nearby places. There is no airport or railway connectivity in Kinnaur. The nearest airport and railway station are both in Shimla.
