A town in the Majha region of the state of Punjab is the Tarn Taran Sahib. The town is the district headquarters of the district of Tarn Taran Sahib. The town is mainly known for a significant Sikh shrine that is situated here and is known to be a sacred place for all pilgrims named as Gurudwara Tarn Taran Sahib. It lies right in the centre of the city. The town was founded by the fifth Guru, Shri Guru Arjan Dev Ji. One can experience the warm culture of Sikhism in the region and take the blessings from the Gurudwaras which were built long back by the Sikh Gurus.

Akal Takht

The Akal Takht is one of the five takhts of the Sikhs. This is specifically located in the Harmandir Sahib complex in Amritsar, Punjab. Built by Guru Hargobind Sahib this is considered as a place of justice and consideration of the temporal issues.

Dukh Bhanjani Ber Tree

The Dukh Bhanjani Beri Tree is an old jujube tree which is considered to be a sacred tree containing miraculous powers. This tree can be located in the Golden Temple complex. It stands on the eastern side of the Amrit Sarovar.

Shree Durgiana Mandir

Being a very important religious site this place holds a very significant spiritual charm. This place is located a few yards away from the Railway Station and is located at a distance of around 1.5 km from the bus stand itself. And the very idea that a temple should be sanding here had come from a man named Gur Shai Mal Kapoor who was a great visionary as well as a religious minded person.

Gobindgarh Fort

The Gobindgarh Fort is fundamentally a historic fort which is located in the centre of the city of Amritsar. There was once a time when this fort was occupied by the army but now can also be visited by the public.

Mandir Mata Lal Devi

The Mata Lal Devi Temple is considered as a sacred Hindu temple which is dedicated to a 20th-century bespectacled female saint who is also known by the name of Lal Devi. What is really great about this temple is the fact that this temple is known for its fertility-improving powers.  

Gurudwara Bir Baba Budha Sahib

Gurdwara Bir Baba Budha Sahib is situated on the road to Amritsar near the village of Jhabal Kalan which is situated in the district of Amritsar Punjab. It is also believed that Guru Arjan Dev also visited this place at some point in their life which makes the whole spiritual significance of this place much good.

How to reach Tarn Taran Sahib?

By Air - Tarn Taran Sahib doesn’t have an airport. The nearest airport from the Tarn Taran Sahib is the Raja Sansi Airport and from there you will have to get a cab or a taxi.

By Road - There are regular buses to Tarn Taran Sahib from other major cities. So, travelling via road would be a seamless experience for you.

By Train - There is no railway station in Tarn Taran Sahib. So, instead, you can get a train to Mananwala. Then from there, you would need to catch a cab or other means of transportation for reaching your destination.
