Rishikesh is a town located in the Dehradun District of Uttarakhand state in India at 409 meters above sea level in the foothills of Garhwal Himalayan Range and encompassed by the Shivalik range.
Aside from spirituality, now Rishikesh, Dehradun Tourism is equally a center for fun where one can enjoy the adventure activities, for example, boating, camping, trekking and bungee hopping, rafting. Ram Jhula: It is one of the two hanging bridges in the town which are extremely famous amongst all tourists. It is a bridge made of iron and is named after Lord Rama.
Lakshman Jhula: It is also a very popular attraction which is a hanging bridge completely made of iron. It is 450 feet long and is named after brother of Lord Rama, Lord Lakshman.
Triveni Ghat: It is a sacred ghat located at the banks of holy river Ganges. It is the places where three holy rivers of India meet. People come here to cleanse their sins and to gain peace and serenity.
Neelkantha Mahadeva Temple: Neelkantha is another name of Lord Shiva and this temple is dedicated to him. A lot of pilgrims visit here to offer sacred water of Ganges to the idol of Lord Shiva.
