Thus, no doubt remains, if you should be visiting it.

Nageswaran Temple

The Nageswaran temple simply blew away my mind. It is an ancient architectural wonder of the Chola empire. Moreover, visiting here you will also find that this temple was initially constructed as a chariot. Visiting this temple one can see that Shiva is in the guise of the Nagaraja and is located in the centre of Kumbakonam. 

Mahamaham Tank

My visit to the Mahamaham tank was quite memorable. It is considered as one of the largest temples in all of Tamil Nadu. And it here that the Masimaham festival is celebrated once every 12 years. It is definitely something that you should witness it first-hand.

Visit Sarangapani Temple

This temple is considered as one of the three major shrines of Lord Vishnu. This temple also has a 12 storey high tower and as per my knowledge had been constructed in the 15th century by the Nayak kings.

Kanjanur Sukran Temple

Located in the village of Kanjanur this Hindu temple has been specifically dedicated to the Sukra Dev.
